28 Nov 2011

Well, this week we had a mission-wide croatian fast, where we weren't supposed to speak any [English] all week. That's been hard, especially with certain people who speak english really well and make fun of us any time we speak croatian. On tuesday we started english again after a 3 week pauza, and our english students were saying how much better our croatian is now. That made us feel good. On thursday, we gave a spiritual thought about the Book of Mormon, and I talked about how my family is closer because we read the book of mormon together and apply its teachings, and one of our students was practically at the edge of his seat during the spiritual thought. I saw him take a copy of the book of mormon, but he left too quickly for me to ask if he wanted to learn more. I hope we can teach his family. On friday at aktivnost, we taught a spiritual thought about memorizing scriptures from elder ...scott?'s talk from this most recent conference.

Today we went to Đakovo for p-day, and we traded elder genther for elder adams, a new missionary in serbia, for a couple days. We visited the cathedral there, but there's not much else in Đakovo. There are some famous horses, but we didn't have time to go see them. we got back later than we were planning to as it was. It's amazing how much better the MTC program is now for learning the language. The new missionaries, starting with my group, are learning so much more in the mtc than the missionaries who are ahead of me learned. the difference is pretty obvious.

Well, I don't really have anything exciting to say this week. Nothing really exciting happened this week. I love you all.

love,
Sestra Black
