Buongiorno tutti!!!!
So this last week has been completely sopraffatto--overwhelming!!!! I had my last days of everything at the MTC, packed, said goodbye to the younger missionaries going to Milan and Rome, my branch presidency there, my fantastic teachers who are pretty much the coolest people ever, and got ready to go on a bagillion hour journey.

Ok not really, but we got up abt 4am MOnday morning, flew SLC to Atlanta, literally ran to our next flight (wow that was a great sight to see, 14 missionaries laughing and running down past abt 12 gates, everyone staring....I seriously love my distretto (district (group at the MTC)) and am so glad weàre all in the same mission anyway, the flight to rome was 9 and a half hours, super long....flew over bits of Nova Scotia, Ireland, Paris, the Alps, West coast of Italy... but fun talking to people, sleeping. When we got into Rome I talked to a family for a while from Reggio, their kids were so adorable! Baby Italian is carinissimo--super cute!

Anyway, by the time we were going on the short flight to Catania I was feeling super dehydrated and completely overwhelmed. We had to wait and as far as I know Sorella Andersen still doesnt have her bag with all her clothes, but anyway, the assistants are Anziano Armillei from Livorno and Anziano Tilini from Hawaii: wonderful people, super nice. And pres. and sorella Taranto were there--they are so fabulous!!!!

We chatted together, relaxed, ate some delicious food, and this morning I said a super quick goodbye to my district and we all went our separate ways (all 14 of us are matched with a trainer upon arrival, and we are going out into different cities within our mission boundaries). My MTC companion Slla Sleight is going to Taranto, on the continent with Slla Zereno? and I am sitting in an internet café in Ragusa on Sicilia, with my amazing companion Slla Bernabé, born and lived in Perù for 8 years and then moved to Torino, she knows some English so these last 6ish hours have been a fun mix of mostly Italian but Spanish and English too. I am so excited to get to work!!! A. Serr who I met at the MTC is in my city, and A. Shaw and Sorella Pead from my district are in my zone (Siracusa).

Iàm so happy to be here! we ate lasagna and gelato last night (I had half connolo half nocciola mmmmm (cannoli, hazelnut), pizza tonight, and the view is amazing from Catania. Ragusa is a bit in from the coast so we cant see the coast but its so gorgeous! Itàs ridiculously hot and humid like 90 and 70% maybe, it looks and feels a lot like the italy I visited, but definitely different too. our apartment is super cute and my companion loves cooking and eating well, and basically I think life is wonderful!!!

Hope everyoneàs summer is going well, I really think it couldnàt be as good as mine is, but try anyway So I found the colon but not the apostrophe, oh well. Italians are mostly on vacation now too, I cant believe it's almost August! (ok, I found it
ok, let me know what all of you are up to!

Here is my local address; yes I live on Michaelangelo road I hear mail takes about 7-10 days. (packages still go to the mission home address, but I'll be here for probably at least 2 transfers (6 week periods) and stuff will get to me faster at this address than at the mission home address. About that, in this mission people usually stay in cities for a while, like 5 or 6 months, maybe more. so this is probably my home for a while! yay! my address is in italy!!!!!

Via M. Buonarotti 201

I migliori auguri ai tutti, [best wishes to everyone?]
Sorella Charissa
