Buon giorno tutti!

I am here in Siracusa--today and yesterday we are doing scambi with the sisters here and so I got to meet a few of the people they are working with here, see some beautiful sights of the ocean, and today we went to this greek theater and some other ruins here.

This week has been jam packed as usual and I think I am going to perpetually have bags under my eyes. Our spanish class is going great and I really enjoy teaching and practicing it. Saida came to this activity we had Saturday where the women in our congregation had some time together, learned about how to use computers, made a little art project with these flowers, and each of them received a secret friend. The idea is to do nice things for them and then they find out at Christmas who it was. She really enjoyed it and needed the time to make some new friends. It is really hard for her to be here without many people she trusts, after being divorced and leaving Tunisia and all the things she has been through. But she loves being with us and Nida her 20 month old loves my watch.

The kids in our congregation had a prepare to be a missionary activity where they learned about what we do all day and had little nametags like we do, and practiced ironing, reading scriptures, talking to their friends about what they believe---I really enjoy children and I want to be around them for the rest of my life! (Even though I can't understand their Italian all the time which makes me feel pretty tiny...but I really do need these experiences so I can be more humble and realize that this whole mission is something I am doing because I believe God will help me in every aspect.

There is a quote I heard that I really liked this week by Spencer W. Kimball (mind you it was in Italian, originally in English and this is me translating it in english again, and it was while I was translating for church sunday into English for our africans...but anyway) «Man has learned how to fly like a bird and swim like a fish, but now we need to learn how to walk like fellow men.»

Ok this internet point is going to close for lunch, so I have to run. ...
