Dear friends,
Lydia is not doing as well as we had hoped. There is no crisis this morning but overnight she had episodic decreases in her blood oxygen levels and blood pressure requiring more aggressive ventilatory support and epinephrine / norepinephrine. Her lungs and blood vessels are not doing well, but her other organs are all working well. Apparently adenovirus can cause bad pneumonia and septic shock but they are still looking for other possible causes.
